What is this main focus of the Hyundai Apprentice Program?

Once successful, all Hyundai Apprentices attend the Hyundai National Learning Centre for an initial Hyundai Induction training day which clearly outlines the apprenticeship path from start to finish. Also overviewed and explained is the simultaneous training and Hyundai Certification path through the Hyundai Service Diagnostic Programme where all should gain Expert level High Voltage Technician Certification. Aiming for the ultimate Master level High Voltage Diagnostic Technician Certification.

What is our objective and what will you achieve.

Our technical training is unique to Hyundai with special emphasis on, Battery Electric Vehicles [BEV] High Voltage innovative technology; your training will include the opportunity to work on the latest Hyundai vehicle’s including, 2022 World Car of the year [Ioniq 5] and 2023 World Car of the year [Ioniq 6].

You will also gain experience diagnosing and repairing the latest internal combustion engines and become proficient using the latest Hyundai diagnostic equipment, leading to the ability to undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on all Hyundai vehicles to the highest standards. You will also be able to undertake complex repairs on our High Voltage range of vehicles.

What qualifications will I gain?

  • A 4 four-year apprenticeship, where you will become a fully qualified motor technician, with a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – Motor Mechanics.
  • Hyundai Service Diagnostic Technician [Certified Level]
  • Hyundai Service Diagnostic Technician [Expert Level]
  • Hyundai HVT [High Voltage Technician] accreditation.
  • Hyundai Service Diagnostic Technician [Master Level]
  • Hyundai HVDT [Master Technician] accreditation

Hyundai application criteria

  • Minimum SOLAS entry requirement’s is essential.
  • Leaving cert with a pass in ordinary level maths is advantageous.
  • Full driving licence is beneficial.
