Motorways or long commutes do not suit hybrids and you may in fact get better fuel economy from diesel engines.

Petrol or hybrid engines may suit you for lower mileage driving if you don’t have access to a driveway for charging an electric car or don’t want to rely on public charging points or perhaps simply aren’t yet ready to make the move to electric.
